Research interests

My research interests are primarily in the fields of comparative political behaviour and public opinion (see Public Opinions Project), but also include

  • Political parties and party systems
  • Elections, electoral behaviour and electoral institutions
  • Political behaviour and political sociology
  • Social/political attitudes and value change
  • Political and electoral participation
  • Populism, political extremism and radicalism
  • Social movements and international subcultures
  • Cross-cultural and trans-national diffusion patterns
  • Quantitative and qualitative research methodology

I am always interested to explore new collaborations, as well as supervising ambitious and motivated research students, both at the MA and PhD level, in any of those areas of research.
